The most famous of these is “l’Arco Naturale” situated on the mouth of the river Mingardo; you can reach it either by car, following the coast road directed for Marina di Camerota, or by boat, circumnavigating the promontory. Along the latter tract you can find ravines caused by the sea: under the ruins of the Molpa castle there is “grotta delle Ossa”, the Bone Grotto, a beautiful cave full of stalagmites and stalactites, which had once served as a secure refuge to its pre-historical visitors, as proved by many human and animal bones found here. |
